This is our 2nd Film Series event to date, and offers an opportunity for members to come meet with others who are working in a similar industry, learn from, ask questions, and make some new connections!
Alc and non-alc beverages are provided, and the discussion is facilitated by our Development Manager to keep things flowing smoothly.
Up next for our Film Series is William Binamé!
In this workshop, the main goal is to get familiarized with some basic lighting gear and how it’s utilized in shooting scenarios. Understanding the utility of specific stands, diffusion and types of lights is key to a successful lighting set up.
Once these fundamentals are understood, we will dive into how to used these tools to achieve some of the basic lighting set ups used in the documentary and commercial shoots. We will go through various lighting set ups, each consisting of specific and real world scenarios in which you could find yourself in, like utilizing just a single light source and three point lighting, a fundamental skill for interview lighting.
This workshop aims to get you comfortable with lighting a scene or an interview but also teach you how use each piece of gear accordingly. By understanding these fundamentals, you’ll hopefully walk away more confident, knowledgable and able to add more production value to your next project.
