Film Series: Action Filmmaking 101

SOARE is excited to launch its new series of events, focussing on our Adventure Based Media Members. Our Film Series brings together local experts to share their hard earned insight and experience. This is our 8th event to date, and offers an opportunity for members to come meet with others who are working in a similar industry, learn from, ask questions, and make some new connections!

Alc and non-alc beverages are provided, and the discussion is facilitated by our Development Manager to keep things flowing smoothly.

First on the docket for our Film Series is Scott Secco!

Scott Secco is an outdoor filmmaker. His interests include mountain biking, watching 200+ movies a year, and baking key lime pie. He lives in Squamish with his partner, Evelyn. During this 60 minute session you'll learn best practices for how to shoot and edit an action scene. What can we take from Hollywood movies and use in the backcountry for adventure films?

The workshop will focus on composition, camera movement, and editing. If you like outdoor films, Mission Impossible, or Mad Max then this is the talk for you.

Please RSVP for the event via the Eventbrite link here.
