Founded by James Morris, a former outdoor guide with a passion for design and marketing, the agency has established a strong presence in creating engaging digital experiences for adventure, lifestyle, and travel brands.

His passion for the great outdoors deeply influenced Morris’s journey to founding VentureWeb. He spent years guiding kayak, rafting, and skiing trips across New Zealand, Europe, Japan, and Canada. However, as much as he loved the adventure lifestyle, Morris knew the seasonal nature of guiding wouldn’t be sustainable for him long-term. With a university background in tourism and a growing interest in the business side of the industry, he decided to transition into the digital world. “Combining my passion for the outdoors with digital marketing and design just made sense,” Morris explains. This blend of skills led to the creation of VentureWeb, where Morris and his team help outdoor-focused brands succeed online.

One of VentureWeb’s standout achievements is with Banff and Lake Louise Tourism. The team was tasked with completely redesigning the brand's website, content and visuals, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing and highly functional site. The platform allows users to build customized trips, integrating everything from accommodations to park passes. The project was a massive success, with over 250,000 users saving planned adventures through the site. “We’re particularly proud of this project,” says Morris. “It’s really pushed us to innovate and create something that’s not just visually appealing, but also incredibly functional.”

At VentureWeb, the creative process unfolds as a thoughtful journey from idea to implementation. It all kicks off with a thorough understanding of the brand’s goals, followed by a meticulous focus on practical elements such as content development, design, and data analysis. The objective is to create digital experiences that not only appeal to audiences but also produce real, impactful results.

It’s all about building trust,” Morris adds.
