To kick start our programming, we are having a series of bi-weekly coffee chats with industry experts and makers. The aim of this series is to offer an opportunity for members to come meet with others who are working in a similar industry, learn from, ask questions, and make some new connections! Coffee and doughnuts are provided, and the discussion is facilitated by our Development Manager to keep things flowing smoothly.

Maker Series: Business Funding will hear from Community Future (CF) Executive Director Kieran Hale. CF is a provincial Association for a network of 34 members serving rural Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities across BC. Kieran represents Squamish’s not-for-profit office, helping fund ideas right here in town. Community Futures is the only program mandated by the federal government to deliver business development services in rural and remote non-metropolitan communities, and can offer business loans of up to $150,000.
